    Aarka Colurassan
    Age: 18
    Gender: Male
    Species: Anthro/human.

Appearance: Aarka stands about five foot five, but still considers himself to be a bit short. His skin is a warm golden-brown and tans deeply in the summer months, as he spends much of his time outside in the sun. On Terra, his colouring and facial features would be considered middle-eastern. He is thin and lithe, in shape from hours of dancing but not overly muscular.

Handsome, but not remarkably so, his rather feminine face wouldn't stand out in a crowd on its own, it is his hair that draws attention to it. Aarka's long knee-length black hair is what embodies most of his anthro traits, locks of his hair cling together writhing like snakes, and like a snake these locks are strong and will try to strike out at those Aarka is angry with, but unfortunately it has rather bad aim when mad. This hair is often an easy way to know Aarka's feelings. If something has upset him the hair will curl around him in a gesture of protection. Not being a full anthro, his animalistic side is not highly dominant and if he hides his hair or braids it tightly an observer must look very closely to distinguish him from an average human. His other anthro traits include his eyes, which are nearly black, with golden flecks, and a snake-like slit for the pupil. Also, in place of finger and toe nails, snake scales grow instead; from the last knuckle to the tip on the back of each digit.

Guild/Rank: Apprentice bard, specializing in dancing

Personality: Aarka thinks himself to be far tougher than he truly is, and this has earned him many fights. (Which he often loses) Serpents are stereotyped as being sneaky, and so is this young anthro boy. He is respectful to others, especially to those in the guild who are higher than him, but mainly this is only for his own gain. If showing respect will not get him anything, Aarka sees no reason to be respectful. He's quite a little hedonist; pure, self-less acts are completely beyond him, and he can barely comprehend why anyone would bother. Despite this he does have a soft side and will help someone if they are in need, because you never know, they may be able to reward him in the future! If not, it at least makes him look good. Also, Aarka is a rather carnally minded young man, spending much of his free time chasing after some person that has captured his romantic interests. Male or female matters not, as long as the object of his desires is a humanoid species, with preferences given other young anthros. He is a very dynamic person and makes acquaintances easily, but rarely considers them worthy of his complete trust, thus close friends are few and far between. Aarka is a rather sensual person who enjoys the finer things in life; if it is expensive you can be sure Aarka wants it. He strives to learn and thrive in his guild specifically for the fame and money that being a successful performer would bring.

    Parents:
Father: Tryllan Colurassan, a snake anthro. He was a knight, a member of the patrol, but he no longer is able to serve.
Mother: Arabelle, a human. A member of the healers' guild, a master, specializing humanoid creatures, with some study in draconic healing.
    Siblings: N/A
Other Familial Ties: Several anthro cousins exist that Aarka knows of only by his father's rare mentions of them. Arabelle has no known living family; her mother lived with her at one time but died peacefully a few years ago.

Background: Aarka was born and raised on a farm that belonged, at one time, to his grandparents. Located roughly six kilometers away from the town of Ormther, it was close enough to a settlement for convenience but yet far enough for peace and quiet. Arabelle, Aarka's mother, took care of the farm by herself as her aging mother was no longer able to do so. They lived peacefully together, and Arabelle provided for their needs by the money earned from her healing skills. Tryllan came to her for healing and simply never left. His horse had thrown him when it had balked, ironically at a snake that crossed the path. He recovered quickly in Arabelle's care, but his sword arm had been broken to badly for him to ever continue with his guild. Aarka was born about three years later, he embodied the best aspects of both of his parents: his mother's dark colouring and slim stature, and pieces of his father's snake-like appearance.

At seven years old, he saw some traveling bards perform in the village and was amazed. Immediately, he knew that he wanted to do that, wanted to perform on stage for the admiration of the crowds. His parents professions had never meant anything to him, he didn't want to help people, didn't want to heal them, but he most definitely did not want to kill them as his father had. He had made his choice.

Two years later, after much constant nagging, his parents allowed him to be apprenticed to a bard and taken to Cascadia Falls for training. Aarka has lived there ever since, traveling to his hometown only rarely, for he has no use for it anymore. He had outgrown his home and it had moved on without him, there was no place for him there, but he wouldn't want it anyway. He was on the road to fame and fortune, and that was his all, his focus.
