The Guildmaster Murders

Koshu Tero was brutally murdered only hours ago. The body was removed by persons unknown from the murder scene. You are now standing at the front door of the Tero estate. The door is open. The detective enters the manor.

tia: ...shit. Now I have to write 283092302 characters in mourning.

In the sewing room are many overstuffed chairs that sit in a circle in the center of the room. A steel needlepoint frame lies innocently on one of the chairs. A large sofa sits in the middle of the parlor. The front lawn can be seen through the window. A brandy snifter sits on the coffee table. Aeun Vlashnovik seems annoyed by your presence. The detective questions Aeun.

Aeun answers in annoyed voice, "Mahja and I spent the entire evening together in the vault. And as I recall, neither of us left at any time while this whole murder business was taking place. I'm afraid I just can't help you out, inspector."

A large safe is pushed against the back wall of the family vault. A roll-top desk stands next to the safe. A magnifying glass is lying on the floor. The detective picks up the magnifying glass. A Scandinavian bed dominates the master bedroom. A teak dresser spans the west wall. A jewel-encrusted mirror lies at the foot of the bed. The detective examines the mirror. The mirror is smudged with lipstick.

There are traces of blood on the brick! This must be the murder weapon.

In the dining a long teak table runs from one end of the room tot he other. A wet bar sits near the entrance to the room. A blue vase sits in the center of the table. Mahja watches you from underneath the table. The detective finds this odd, but questions him anyway.

Kate: o.O
tia: Yes.
Zodi: ....why is mahja *underneath* a table

tia: Mahja has a foot fetish, eh?

Aeri: LOL

Mahja turns swiftly and answers, "Aeun and I spent the entire evening together in the vault. So, as much as I wanted to see Koshu dead, I just didn't have the opportunity. Now, why don't you just cross my name off your silly little suspect list and go pester someone else."

The kitchen is empty. A bright brass pot hangs from the ceiling. It's so shiny you can see yourself in it! The butler's bedroom is decorated in a simple, but tasteful manner. The furniture is rather worn. A marble bookend sits on one of the shelves against the north wall. Jon is resting in the far corner of the room. The detective questions Jon.

Jon turns away from you and murmurs, "Cecili and I spent the entire evening together in the sewing room. So, I guess I really don't have any information to help you in your investigation. I do know, however, that Aeun had some kind of argument with Koshu just yesterday."

tia: Aeun: Much as the choice of company disgusts me, I have an alibi witness.
tia: Mahja: Oh, like you can talk about pleasant company, halfling.
tia: Aeun: If halfings are so offensive, why do Chaosians keep making them?
tia: Mahja: Accidents. And a lack of a good governmental birth control program.
Aeri: XD
tia: Mahja: Kai is exceeding proof of the system's failure.
tia: Ilea: Not to mention the queen's inability to cast a good bloodrune. I mean, did you SEE her diagrams?
Zodi: *GASP*
Zodi: Jon, Cecili...
Aeri: Cecili: . . .
Zodi: Black Wynd: ....
Zodi: Black Wynd: .... *cockslaps mage guildmaster*

The detective found Mahja . . . again. A hot tub occupies one corner of the bathroom. A large mirror coves the east wall. A broken flowerpot lies on the floor, Mahja is relaxing in the hot tub.

Kate: Hope he's wearing something.
tia: XDDD
tia: Mahja in the hot tub. That's so awesome.
Zodi: MAHJA. hot tub. *ded*
tia: Isn't that AWESOME?
Zodi: it's SO HIM

The ballroom is bare except for a bandstand at the wet end of the room. A crystal chandelier hangs overhead. a tuba sits unattended next to the bandstand. Cecili hides behind the bandstand. The detective questions Cecili and wonders why she’s hiding behind the bandstand.

tia: ...Cecili did it!
Aeri: Cecili: <<
Aeri: hmmm. . . .

Cecili replies distractedly, "Jon and I spent the entire evening together in the sewing room. Why, I didn't even find out about Koshu's death until right before you arrived. Isn't it awful. Who do you think could do such a thing.?"

tia: Damn. No murder for Cecili.
tia: That leaves us BW and Xu. Both prime candidates, I must admit.

The detective has been in all the rooms and still hasn’t seen BW or um Xu. Aeun is in the ballroom practicing some waltz steps. The murderer is now stalking the detective. Jon on the other hand moves about the manor quickly.
There seem to be bloodstains on the floor of the dining hall. This must be the scene of the murder!
The detective checks the bathroom, again. Xukithl Saada quietly locks the door behind you as you enter the bathroom. "Let me satisfy your curiosity inspector. I killed Koshu in the dining hall with the brick and now I intend to dispose of you! Goodbye, inspector!"
